Welcome
Bullet What does one say about themselves? Guess I'll start from the beginning.

Many many moons ago, I was born and raised in southern California. I am the oldest of four siblings, Carol, Bob, and Diane. Bob lives with his family in southern California. Carol and Diane and their families live in the western suburbs of Chicago. My dad and stepmom live in central Illinois.

I have a the most wonderful husband, Frank, and son, Mike, that a woman could ever want. I'm still waiting for a grandchild. hint hint Mike :)

In the early 90's AOL had been around for just a year or so and was growing quickly. In investigating the site, I came across a Writers Group and thought, 'hey, I want to do this' !! So began my quest into becoming a published romance writer. So for a few years, I wrote and wrote. I had three manuscripts started. But had to put it all aside for a few years. Between a bad marriage to my ex (who threw out those manuscripts---grrrr) ,and subsequent divorce, moving, and work, my heart just wasn't in it any longer.

Then in 1999, I met Frank, and shortly there after the writing bug bit again. Researching at the RWA site, I found two local authors, Joanna Wayne and Sandra Landry, who were a tremendous help in guiding me towards SOLA - Southern Louisiana chapter of RWA. What a great bunch of people they are! So inspiring and helpful. In 2001, the current SOLA President, Elora Fink called and asked me if I wanted to be a Program Director for SOLA. I was a little hesitant at first, but she said that Jaimie Bergeron would do it if someone else would also. Naturally I couldn't say no. Thus began a fun eighteen months as Co-Program Directors.

Little did we know that Jaimie and I had a connection.

One afternoon after our SOLA meeting, the group goes to Picadilly Cafeteria for lunch. Jaimie and I were sitting across from one another when she asked where in Marrero did I live. I told her and she remarked she knew a family on my street and she remembered the mother was Augustine and step-dad was Bob.

I froze in my seat. Fork in one hand, mouth wideopen :)

A lightblub went off! "Jugs," I replied. Her eyes went wide. No one had called her that in over 20 years. Jugs was an affectionate nickname she had while in the Civil Air Patrol.

Turns out....she had dated a guy in their group called...yup...you guessed it....Frank. Her Frank from back then is now my Frank. Talk about a coincidence!!!!!!!

Both of us are writers and dated/married Frank. Talk about a small world!!!

Whoops...just noticed how much I have written, will finish the rest of the story later...gotta get the other parts of this website up and running....I'll write more later....
